I am 21 weeks pregnant with my first child and was in a minor car accident. The airbag didn't deploy and I wasn't injured at all. I was wearing my seatbelt but don't recall it being tight on my stomach. I called 2 doctors and they said that from what I told them and the questions that they asked didn't think that I needed to be seen. What do you think?

  1. I was told if you are pregnant and in a car accident you should always go to the hospital no matter how minor because you never know.

  2. as long as the belt was under your belly not on top and you were not violently jerked you should be fine.

  3. you shud be ok hun but if the tightening get worst go see your midwife

i was in a car accident in 2003 and my son was born ok 4 months later and came late

  4. i would tell them you want to be seen so you can put your mind at ease Good Luck

  5. I was in a car accident at 14 weeks. I was hit from behind at 35 mph and hit something in the front and the airbag deployed. My little boy was just fine.

However, if I were you I would insist on coming in. Not because there is a high likelihood something is wrong but because it will just make you feel at ease.

  6. i had an accident 4 mths along, rearended, but i went to the er afterwards bc i was pregnant. Go to the er and have them perform an ultrasound. good luck

  7. Better safe than sorry! You will worry about it until you go. There is no harm in being seen.
