215 and 220 license?

Question

Where can I take the exams and what is the best way to prepare? And is this a good entry-level start?

I'm looking for a quick low cost alternative than courses that can cost $500.

For the 215 Florida has a mandatory 40 hour pre-licensing course requirement. This is pretty much the only place you can start. I suggest you contact some large insurance companies and look into a position with them. For example New York Life is widely considered to have the best training in the industry.
