.22 caliber Winchester long&long.

Question

I am wondering if this gun will take any length of 22 caliber bullet.

Most semi automatic, pump, lever action will fire long or long rifle ammo. Single shot or bolt action will fire cb's, short, long or long rifle. If you have a tubular or clip fed bolt action, the shorter rounds may not feed correctly but you can fire them single shot.

If it's an old rifle, and it says .22 long, it will shoot .22 longs and shorts only. It will not be able to chamber the popular .22 long rifle if it is chambered for .22 longs.

if it says long and long rifle it will handle either one. many older 22's would shoot short,long, and long rifle.

the 22 long rifle is so much better and cheaper than the short or the long, i can't imagine shooting shorts or longs unless thats all you had.

shorts maybe for certain low power needs.
