22 month old baby wakes up screaming EVERY TIME!?

This is the youngest of my four children. I see happy babies on tv that wake up all smiles, giggles, etc. After sleeping through the night and afternoon nap time, he wakes up screaming! At nap, I talk nice and sweet to him and everything as he begins to stir.

Is this normal? Maybe a phase? None of my others ever did this, although I know all kids are different! HELP!

My parents told me that when I was that age I would wake up, and be mellow. I would just sit, and relax in my crib. My mom said she sometimes would not know when I woke up, cause when she went to check on me I would be awake playing with a toy.

My little brother on the other hand would scream to the top of his lungs.

Not sure really what makes some kids do this. The only thing I can think of is that maybe he wakes up, and finds himself alone. How dark is it in the room he sleeps in? My kid would cry when he woke up until I put in a brighter nightlight.

he is just grumpy i would try to give him a bath see if he relaxes. its like growns ups well i teng to be grumpy and cranky after i wake  up in the mornings or a nap. my little sister did this and i think its just a phase.
