  1. try watering it down a bit, that way it won't taste so much like it should. if she takes that, then gradually decrease the amount of water u put in it. does she have it in her cereals??

  2. When my daughter switched from formula to cows milk I used to mix the cows milk in with the formula, so 1oz cows milk and 6oz formula and every couple of days just change the mix by 1oz so that after a couple of weeks she was drinking all cows milk and didn't notice the change.

    Hope this helps.

  3. hi my baby stopped liking milk since she was 1 year old just simply doesn't like it i asked heal visitor she didn't seem too concerned just advised to put milk in other things such as milkshake custard cereal etc i wouldn't worry about it

  4. it maybe she just doesn't like milk. My sister was like that after bottles and she's never drunk it to this day.

    My grandson is the same.

  5. If she likes the milk she is drinking, try adding just a little adult milk to it - perhaps just 10%, she will hardly notice the difference.

One of our foster children was like this, she liked formula and cows milk together - it just took a few weeks and she was drinking cows milk only - with lots of other foods as well, of course.

  6. try watering it or heating it up. but dont stress my 23 month old came off fromula and just plainly refused to drink milk so i compensate for this by givin him additional dairy products like youghurts and cheese he eats plenty of these so he is getting the necessary calcium that he needs. just make sure you are supplementing the milk with other dairy products like cheese and youhurts and dont worry about the milk. all she is getting from milk is calcium you wil get this from other dairy products. there is no iron in cows milk so it isn't really benificial to her anyway. i hope this helps but my son is off formula 6 months now and still will throw a glass of milk across the room. dont worry she'll be fine but try adding some flavouring to the milk like chocolate or strawberry this might encourage her to start guzzling!

  7. Try not offering her the alternative and only giving her the cow milk, if she won't drink it let her go without, this would be OK for a few days and wouldn't do her any harm, just give her cheese, youghurt, custards etc to keep her getting calcium.

My little one went straight from breastfeeding to drinking cow milk but suddenly went off it and would only drink at most 100ml a day, I was worried after 2 weeks of this and took him to the health visitor, she said his weight was fine so not to worry and just try and give him the above mentioned foods and anything else he would eat which had calcium (and he was only about 15 months), she did say bring him back in a few weeks if he didn't start drinking more but after a few weeks he did, he only still only drinks the minimum a child of his age should most days (350ml) but he eats a good diet and is a healthy happy child.

  8. My son is 13 months and HATES milk!  He was breastfed till 12 months b/c he wouldn't drink formula either.  I tried everything.. chocolate milk.. warming the milk.. flavored soy milk.  Hates it all.  My dr. said since he is getting his calcium from all the yogart and cheese I give him he is ok and not to be too concerned.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  9. Have you made sure its full fat milk? Children under 5 should not have 'adults milk' such as semi-skimmed as the body still needs the full fat version! It may be that her body feels 'wrong' when she drinks adult milk and so she is saying 'no' because if doesnt make her feel good!

Or maybe it's just a taste thing! Maybe the change in texture, taste etc needs getting used to :)

Try introducing it in small ways:

    -Weetabix cereal

    -milkshakes

-a small drop in her favourite cup and hten more if she asks.

    -Ice-Cream

  10. My daughter had difficulty switching from formula to cow's milk so I started diluting her formula with cow's milk. Gradually over a period of a couple of months I added more and more until she got used to the taste and now drinks nothing other than semi-skimmed Organic cow's milk. Try to keep to organic milk where possible as there is a school of thought that the hormones given to the cows to make them produce more milk than is natural is partly to blame for the high number of breast tumors in this country.
