I have a 22 month old girl and i don't give her a drink like an hour and a half before bed and when she wakes up her diaper is like flooded and the sheets are a little wet in the morning(along with her pjs).

We just started potty training yesterday but this has been going for about a month but our doctor says don't worry about it and don't give her anything to drink 2 hours before bed.I don't get it. Is it just a stage?i don't know i need help!

  1. You might want to get another doctors opinion. My little sister had a kidney reflux. she would wet the bed get up while mom was changing the sheets go to the bathroom again then go one more time before she went back to bed. She had to be on medicine for 2 or 3 years but grew out of it and now she is 18 and has no problem whatsoever.

  2. Try overnight diapers at night. My 6 y/o still wears a pull up at night. His dr says his bladder is just not ready. Good luck.

  3. Surely you go to bed quite a bit after she does.  Could you not take her to the bathroom at 10 or 10:30?  Will she go back to sleep?  It could be that as she gains more control she is not urinating completely before she goes to bed.

  4. I am hooked on Luvs diapers. For me, they never leak. I like them better than pampers cause their bottom stays dry in Luvs. Actually, you are doing good to potty train at 22 months. Most of the time, moms have to leave diapers/pull ups on them every night even when they are good and potty trained during the day, because their systems don't understand how to hold it at night. - I do think that seems like alot of urine for not drinking before, but some people produce more than others, so it could be normal for her. I had an aunt who constantly wet the bed every night until she was about 12. She as well as my sister were diagnosed with a weak bladder. Nothing to do about it except prepare for a leak.

  5. Try using bigger diapers. Huggies are the best.

  6. try the next size nappies/diapers, my dd does this sometimes, if she has wriggled a lot while asleep and nappy isn't on straight
