1. Since the Marlin and ruger links are already posted I wont put em up again, but if you arent set on a semi auto, and have the money to spend, check out the Marlin 39a. One awesome shootin gun. I have a 10/22 as well and love it.

  2. i love my remington 581 bolt action but they stoped making them years ago.

i have a 9 power scope on it and can hit quarters at 70 yards

  3. CZ 452 Scout model, best sub $200 .22 i ever owned.

  4. A few more inexpensive makers:

    savagearms.com

    marlinfirearms.com

Foreign, the last two offer a bit more quality:

    www.rossiusa.com

    czusa.com

    anschutz-sporters.com

  5. go to ruger.com and check out their 10/22 lineup and another good name to look up is mossberg they make some really good 22's like the model 341 which i have had plenty of experience with and is a real soldier

  6. Marlin 60

    Weatherby XXII

  7. Ruger makes very nice rimfire rifles,

    Bolt

    Remington

  8. mark blamed the condoms on me

  9. Even a cheap one is good...

    $125-160

    Starts around $130

  10. Ruger - Browning

  11. Savage makes very good quality inexpensive .22 rifles. They may not look pretty, but they work and they're accurate. Generically speaking they'll shoot better than the person pulling the trigger. Savage rifles would be my first choice if cost was a issue (and these days it usually is).

Marlin also turns out good quality, inexpensive guns. Their guns tend to be a bit more expensive than Savage's but they shoot well.

The exception to that statement is the Marlin 39A. Its an outstanding rifle, but its a bit expensive. However its worth it. If cost wasn't an issue this would be my first choice.

Ruger's rifles tend to be a bit pricey compared to the other companies I mentioned, but they have a reputation for good quality and accuracy.

If you like lever-action rifles, take a look at Henry's .22 lever guns. Just be aware they don't have modern safety features which can make scoped rifles less safe than the Marlin model 39. Still they cost a lot less.

Finally Remington makes a number of .22 rifles. I've never really messed with Remington .22s much and there's not a lot about them in the shooting magazines, so I can't comment too much one way or another.

  13. get a ruger 10/22, i shot it at the shooting range and it kicked *** and was really fun :D

  14. lots of very good .22s out there from relatively inexpensive to very expensive depending on what you want to do.

Plinking , hunting or target shooting?

Own a fine target rifle & a nice sporter & have fired all kinds , but one of my favorites is the Marlin M39A lever action.

Large magazine capacity, extremely accurate, a lifetime gun & fun to shoot.

Follow the links some have posted & look around.

Better yet, visit some gunshops ,see what is in your price range & fits you best.

    Best regards
