I am 22 wks plus 4 days pregnant…..its my first baby and I keep getting a “tight” uncomfortable feeling across my belly…it doesnt hurt.my tummy feels hard & it happens esp after ive eaten…even if ive eaten a little I feel like ive stuffed myself. What is this? Should I be concerned?

How often should I be feeling my baby move? Is it normal for baby to have “quiet” days or could it be that im too busy to notice?

Finally, last night I woke up about 4am and was sick, while being sick i know its gross but my wee just come out….i didn’t realise so couldn’t hold it! I was so upset cos im only 28 and how could I wet myself. My hubby comforted me & was supportive – has anyone experienced weak bladder during pregnancy???

  1. As the first answer said, this is all completely normal. I've been having Braxton Hicks since about 21-22 weeks and you'll probably experience more of them as pregnancy progresses. And yes, baby will have days when he/she will not move as much, but you're also correct that you won't notice them as much when you're busy. If you're concerned that you're baby isn't moving as much, drink a cold drink and have a lie down - should set the little one off!

As for the bladder, again, it's totally normal. I'v taken to wearing a very light pantie liner just to be on the safe side - Always Envive is designed specifically for weak bladders and have a variety of sizes. It just means I don't have to panic every time I sneeze!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

  2. the tightness is just braxton hicks contractions. You should be able to get 10 kicks in 2 hours. You only need to do kick counts once a day, preferably when he is most active. They do have quiet days. I have issues with my bladder too! I wear a pantie liner just in case!

    Good Luck!

  3. i'm 29 and 21 weeks pregnant and have had ALL of the symptoms you've just mentioned, at least now i know they are normal as i'm not the only one!!  lol,

  4. No need to worry. the tightness you are feeling is called braxton hicks contractions. They are not something you need to worry about. Yes baby's have their good days and bad. You should feel your baby move every day but some days you will feel the baby more than others.

  5. every time i laughed when i was pregnant i did a little wee lol its jus the pressure on your bladder, good luck

p.s i was only 20 when pregnant and i dont wet myself anymore

  6. The tightening was braxton hicks. Its your body preparing for labor and very normal. Your bladder does become weak during pregnancy because all your muscles are stretched out.
