221g temp refusal?

i sent a notarized letter to the embassy yesterday to facilitate and ask info about the h4 application of my wife and daughter... They were temporary refused and issued a 221g under administrative study of their application... will that help??? im a h1b visa holder and i miss my family so much..... please help

  1. Hi -- you've already asked this question, more or less.  You ask, Will the notarized letter help?  It might, if you addressed the Embassy's concern, or if you gave them the information they needed.

  2. It won't hurt, but it won't necessarily help other than to indicate that you are actively interested in the outcome.

  3. There could be several reasons for a visa refusal or denial. In case consulate refuse your visa, you should get a form with a refusal clause/reason. *Did you get a reason?

    Other then the submitted documents. It is up to consular officers at U.S. embassies and consulates to determine eligibility on an individual basis on the merits of each case.

    Most of the cases refusal (221g) can be just because of any documents missing or any additional information required by the consulate.  

    Applicants are refused under Section 214(b) INA if they are unable to demonstrate to the satisfaction of a consular officer that they have sufficiently strong and long-term family, social, and economic ties outside the United States which make them depart the United States after a temporary stay.
