  1.  kangaroos are pretty small,, much smaller than a whitetail deer,, rimfires are fine providing you are close and go  for headshots otherwise a centre fire 22 is about as close to perfection as one can get  when it comes to roos, i would highly reccomend a 22 WMR as a good calibre for what your planning on doing!

  2. 22lr and 22 magnums and great for rabbits and foxes. 22lr is fine as long as your well dialed in. ive shot plenty of roo's but i would be hesitant to pick up a 22lr for the job. depends were you are but if you get some big greys or reds (80kg+) you'll probably just have a pissed off kangaroo using anything less than a 223. my suggestion is 22lr all the way but leave the roo's alone. cheap ammo, great fun, no worries. but when you've got your mates with you, go for the roo's using their guns, thats how every austrlian shooter gets a start. shooting with your mates, theres nothign better.

    consclusion-
22lr is fine for foxes and bunnies (use hollow points)
22wmr is fine too but wont leave much left.

neither are perfect for roo's but if its what you got.....

  3. I have dropped plent of roos with a .22 wmr with a headshot.
