I'm a straight male, with very pale skin. When i go out in the sun, or on holiday and its sunny, i burn, well go very red at least. After a week or so i peel, then im pale again. I have freckles, but not many. What can i do to stop burning. And how can i tan effectively. Do i need some vitamins, if so what? Or should i go to a solarium? Please help!

  1. To build a nice even long-lasting tan you need to gain it gradually especially if u are pale. You will start with a big SPF sun lotion and stay under an umbrella(ella-ella...) for the 1st week. Then you will reduce the spf (not below 20 since u r pale) and start sitting in the sun (preferably before 12 and after 4 in the afternoon). Peeling is normal. To avoid it u have to moisturise ur skin with a body lotion. Eating carrots helps with getting a nice tan faster (carotene). Try applying those gradually tanning body-lotions before and after you go for vacation. Avoid sdoarium as it is really bad for the skin and avoid self-tanners also coz they always have really bad effects. Good luck

  2. im 13 and im so pale u can see my veins from a disantce alot of my friends suggest i go to a tanninng booth well....i dont know where one is have the money or transportation to get to on you probably do so try a tanning booth

  3. ive got the same problem mate what my parents told me i should do just take it slowly start sunbathing in good weather at home let your skin adapt i have got such sensitive skin i went to rome put factor 60 and still got burnt

start with a high factor and decrease it slowly or on a  not so sunny day start with a low factor then increase if you feel like you are burning

remember that you can get sunburnt through clouds so watch out

i think if you use a after sun it can tan the colour of you skin after you have been in the sun

  4. You can buy that self tanning creams. Believe it or not, they work really well. Then when you go in the sun, use sunblock to avoid burning. Good luck.
