The 24 hour fitness gym I go to only allows people over 14 unless they take a training class approved by a parent. Is there a gym at your school? You might be better off seeing if you can work out before or after school for free or for a budgeted price. Also, make sure you find a buddy to work out with if you're going to a gym; at a 24 hour gym they don't always have staff on-site and you need to be sure of your safety (I'm way older than 13 and I even make sure someone I know is there when I go). I don't know about your State but here in WA it used to cost $35 a month plus a fee to start off.  Back in 2001 the fee was $200. It didn't mater the age of the person.
