24 hours to make a pinata!?!?!?!?

I have a surprise b-day party tomorow and of course my co-host BLEW OFF ALL HER STUFF! So we have NO decorations OR PINATA! I am handling (and freaking out ) about the decorations but i cant get to a pinata seller! i need to MAKE one! But not like paper mache! Any ideas to make one in less than 24 hours?

Take cardboard and get it into a general shape of what you want.

Cover that with paper to some some of the edges and make it more like you envisioned it.

Finally, attach crepe paper in bright colors in fringed layers to give it color and that pinata-y appearance.
