  1. 4-6

  2. The boat should have a capacity plate on it to tell you the max carrying capacity in weight or people. If not the formula is

length times width divided by 15. Round down the answer. Remember this is the maximum, 4 people in a 15 ft boat with 25 hp will not be a rocket but will move along o/k.

  3. If you have more than 6 people in your boat make sure that the coast guard doesn't see them. They'll think your trying to smuggle them in from the border .

  4. It's the boat carrying cap + Hp weight> Added together> There's a tag on the boat read it to see> Small boat safe with 2 large people 3 med>

  5. normally the capacity of the boat goes off the model and size of the boat.  The engine capacity will only determine how fast it will go. The safe carrying capacity for a 15 foot fibreglass boat should be 4 people. I had a 15 foot with front screen and front steer with 50hp and it was recommended for 4 people.

If you know the make and model of the boat make some phone calls to ask for verification.

For the $600 I would be saying that the package is quite old. When I was looking around if I needed a new motor it worked out about $100 per CC..... 25hp for $2,500

  6. it really depends on hull size, the engine size only matters to how fast you go

  7. a 15 foot boat with four real adults will not run smooth.  It most likely won't plane off.  Putting 6 people in that boat is foolishness.  What is the hull design?  How old?  How heavy?  What outboard make and model?  $600?  Is the transom waterlogged, floor rotting, something sounds fishy here.

Boats are dependant on their owners.  If well taken care of it could be a deal.

  8. YES,AND YES .GOOD LUCK
