  1. Suck it up, just do the GED, it is readily available, cost effective and just as good.  That is what I did in '04.  Had I graduated, I would be in the class of '86.  You figure it out, you do the research, and the homework, it is YOUR degree!

  2. You are too old for traditional homeschool.   Give your local community college a call.  The costs will vary, but you usually do not have to pay the traditional college costs - just book and parking fees.  Financial aid may or may not be available.  Just pick up the phone and give them a call.  These things are far too localized to post on Yahoo answers and expect a perfect answer.  Sorry!

  3. I just want to say good luck. I dont know since I dont live in the USA but I really hope you do well.

  4. You need to just go to your local community college and take courses to get you started on a career. You can make up your own diploma if you want and you still have to take the tests to get into classes at the community college. Most of the tests any 9th grader could pass.

  5. yes, the GED is the Diploma for doing your home schooling, So you can study at home and then go sign up for the GED, if you were still under 18 then they would probably make you attend classes to take the test but at your age just bring your check book and sign up for a test date.

  6. It is better for you to get your GED.

You do need your diploma no matter what you do, so forget about the home schooling and do what you should have done 8 years ago.

To find out more information, go to your local high school and tell them your situation.  They will give you the correct information you are looking for.

  7. Diplomas are not worth the paper they are written on. Needing a high school diploma, transcripts, GED and even SAT scores is all propaganda public schools and their supporters spew to keep money flowing into their livelihood. Sign up at your local community college and get started on educating yourself. Then consider creating your own business for an income. There are many opportunities to create income and wealth that don't include wasting your time in high school. High school is not about education, it's about warehousing children and dangling carrots (in the form of athletics, proms, activities, etc.) in front of them to get them to conform so the tax money keeps flowing into the pockets of the teachers and administrators. Take responsibility for yourself and your education. No one else can. Move on and start learning what you truly need to know to function and succeed in this world. Good luck!
