  1. as far as i know you can have up to 650cc in australia ,if thats where you are.but a 250 should be ok id say.im 100kgs and ride an old xl250 on my farm, its more than enough, but i know what your saying, try taking one on a test ride from a friend or dealer (if they,ll let you )

  2. It will keep up with traffic.  250cc bikes are geared really "short" to make use of the little power they have.  Even the slowest 250's still have 15-20hp, which is more than enough power to keep up with the flow of traffic below ~60mph given their light weight and short gearing.

I wouldn't do a lot of cruising on the freeway with it though - most of the slowest 250's top out between 65-75mph depending on gearing/wind etc and are pretty easily tossed around by wind-wake from trucks and larger SUVs and Pickup trucks.

  3. yes it's good enough to get you along. I'm 150kg and mine moves me along quite fine

  4. it's pushing it....

  5. Try the Kymco Venox mine will run 70 all day long and is comfortable. They do not cost as much as the j*p brands. Also there are Hyosung GV250 and they are good motor cycles. These are not imported Chinese  junk but quality reliable motorcycles

  6. Yes, barely. It's a wee bit on the low side when you consider that you and the bike together will weigh over 250kg. That's 12-1/2 kg/hp (assume 20hp), so less than a midsize car.

It also won't have much extra top speed - that's where you'll notice the lack of power the most.

I'd want something with at least 30hp.

  7. you can't go past honda. 2kn pick quakka are the two best bikes on the market .providing they are in good condition

  8. I have a 1998 GPX250 (ex250) and I weigh 140kg. It is quite fast. I have had it up to 150km/h so far.

I also have a NSR250 that does 200km/h. I stacked it last week trying to do a mono. I now have fractured ribs and can't ride at all.

  9. 100cc m/c [suzuki trail] capable of taking 2 people from GB to Italy via the high passes of the European Alps and back after several weeks working out there
