I'm looking for a brand new 250-400cc motorbike here in the Philippines preferably Honda\Yamaha\Suzuki or Kawasaki. Question: Is there a shop here that sells these big bikes? Is there a 2006-2008 model of Yamaha fzx250 Zeal and/or Suzuki 250 Bandit? What is the counterpart model of Honda and Kawasaki to these? among the said brands which bike do you prefer?

  1. I like the Kawasaki, the Honda seems to be built to the minimum cost possible, and I prefer some of the extras kawaski included. Suzuk and Yamaha, don't seem anything extraordinary for or againt them

  2. Hey there buddy!

    250 - 400cc bikes. Mmmm... Here goes:

First of all, they don't make 400cc's anymore. Any 400cc that you'll find (VFR, RVF, CBR, ZX-R, GSX-R, FZ-R) are:

    1) Second hand

    2) Grey imports - meaning they all come from Japan

So your question whether they sell 2006/2008 Bandits or FZR is no. Production ceased 1995.

You do however get 400cc Bandits and FZR's

If you want a 400cc, I suggest that you go for the Honda's. VFR nc30/ RVF nc35 or CBR nc29. Anything below these models are too old. Kawasaki's are generally VERY heavy on fuel.

Now, your 250cc section of your question:

All your 400cc were/are 4 stroke. Thus, your 250cc's were all 2-stroke (google Honda NSR250, Yamaha TZR250, Suzuki RGv 250) Their production ceased in '93-'95 due to CO2 emissions.

You now get 250cc's in 4-stroke. Kawa makes a 200cc, Honda makes a 125cc (only that size) and the rest dont make anything.

Your cheaper alternatives are your Bajaj bikes, Loncin etc where you'll get a 250cc.

I do suggest that you rather opt for a 400cc. Get a VFR nc30 or RVF 400 if you have the cash. These are beautiful bikes by Honda and the RVF is probably the fastest! Only settle for a Honda, not a Kawa. Again, Kawa's 400cc's not good quality.

Honda makes the best 400cc's. Google the RVF and VFR - that's your best option. Good luck
