I Remember asking at the beginning of the season, if the new 800's would ever beat there big brothers the 990's.

But who would of thought that a few weeks back Lorenzo on a 250 beat Vale's 500 lap record and today the top 7 (SEVEN) 250 boys were quicker then the slowest MOTOGP man. Yes I know Curtis Roberts is not the best rider out there, but thats still amazing from the stroker boys.

What is also amazing, today's free practice would put Lorenzo only 0.623 seconds slower then the current W.C Hayden.

Now thats what I call: Good year VS bad year.

Whats your thoughts ??

  1. I guess it's horses for courses - and depending on the course, they're gonna give most riders a real chase.

It amuses me when people say "I don't watch the small bikes" like these boys aren't using as much skill and balls as the guys on the big bikes - or as you say - that these bikes can't get round the courses in decent times!

That said - I've got mates over from Spain this weekend - so tomorrow is bar B Q day - will be able to sneak in for main race - but will have to skip the others - of course theres a met. office warning of torrential showers -with luck they'll coincide!

  2. I believe that 250cc can compete against the 500cc just like the 600cc would fight against the 1000cc in the short run, but i don't believe that the 250cc it's faster than the 800cc......it's all about the track!!
