  1. It really depends on what you are attempting to do.

Appartment, if you want everyone to sort of just hang out (you prepare food).

Club, if you and/ or your friends are still into the part scene.

Restaurant if the first 2 options don't sound good. But the problem with restaurant is that with 10+ people paying for the bill is very difficult and out of the 3 this is the place with the least conversing.

I would say pick between club and apartment and if neither of those 2 sound like "you," then go restaurant and have people over afterwards if need be.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Have a mock winetasting party at your place

have all kinds of wines and cheeses

and since cheese is so expensive now-a-days, aske for BYO cheese

also have potroast, chicken wings, rotesserie chicken, and porkchops to have as food to eat along with

have cheesecake, brownies, carrot cake as desserts :D™

  3. Well, I JUST had a party for my OWN 25th b-day... What we did was have a huge party over at MY apartment...I made some cheese dip, spinach artichoke dip, had out chips, sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, cupcakes, kegs, beer, jello shots...etc... and the party was a blast!!!!! We all hung out, listened to music, played drinking games... BUTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally forgot that when I woke up at MY apartment [[hungover =(]] that I had to clean. ONLY ME. It sucked. lol. Do NOT DO IT!!

I would definately do the dinner & dancing thing. Very casual like "hey let's all meet for appetizers at Chili's at 8 pm, then go to the club after for some dancing"..

  4. In my opinion, if you're inviting people to a party, especially one in which custom dictates that they bring a gift, you are the host and handle all costs of the party.  I don't think it's cool to invite people to something like that and then expect them to pay.  So, regardless of whether you have it at home or at a restaurant, you would be responsible for the bill.   Obviously, you need to take your own financial situation into account then.  I think you can have a successful party in any of these places or in a rented hall, depending upon what works best for you.

I don't mind having a pot luck style get-together where everyone brings a dish as long as the guests are good friends/family and they know in advance.  Typically, restaurants and rental halls don't allow you to bring food in, though, so that might limit you to having it at home (or apartment).  Do keep in mind, though, that you never know what you'll get when you have this type of party.  You may well get 70% desserts and hardly anything else, so be prepared to supply a few items yourself.

Other than that, is this party for you or for someone else?  The preferences of the guest of honor, with consideration for the known likes and dislikes and dietary needs of guests, will dictate what to serve.  I always like to have whatever food is the favorite or among the favorites of the guest of honor -- in your case the person having the birthday.

However, since my daughter is a very strict vegetarian and since I have friends who are diabetic, I make sure to label foods as to what ingredients are included in them, and I make sure to have foods that they can eat without concern.

  5. i would go to a club because

    1. u don't prepare food

    2. they have to pay themselves so u don't waste $

    3. you don't have to clean up the mess like you would if u did an apartment party
