27 going onto 28 weeks pregnant. When is the right time to do the nursery?

Me too :) I'm 27 weeks and 6 days today.

I say whenever you have the energy get started on it. Don't push yourself thou. Just do a little bit at a time. And leave the heavy lifting, moving, or painting for someone else to do.

Do it soon if you are painting in that room and the baby will be going in  there from when he/she is born x

Now's a great time. We're 28 weeks and went to buy our cot - well it takes 12 weeks for delivery of the cot so we might get it by the time we have our baby!

If you have time, do it now - there's really not too long to go at all!!

There is never really a 'right' time per se.

It's good you are doing it now, I still haven't finished mine, and being so close to having this baby, it was a stupid idea to have left it so late on my part!

If its you thats doing nursery i would advise to do it asap because as the weeks go by your get more tierd and unable to do alot.If your laying new carpet and painting get someone to do it for you and get it done asap that way it gives the room time to air out and fumeless.

there is no "right" time, you can do it whenever you want to but sooner is definitely better because the more pregnant you get the less you're going to feel like doing things to it. i basically had the nursery finished when i was 22 weeks because i knew that if i didn't get on top of it i would procrastinate and wouldn't get it done in time. i'm now 37 weeks and there are still a few things i need to do, mostly clean out some junk that doesn't belong in the nursery and finish washing baby blankets and stuff.  try to do a little bit at a time and remember that if you don't get it completely done before the baby is born... he or she won't care.
