  1. If you didn't dive or push of the wall, it's probably not too good. If it were a grade, it would probably be inbetween a C- and a D+. Normally, I can swim a 25 in 15 seconds, pushing off the wall.

  2. I am sorry to dampen your spirits but your 30m freestyle is pretty slow. If you are a competitive swimmer, you definitely need to buck up. If you are not, then it is okay. However, in my club, during midget meets ( those for swimmers under 9 years old), they are doing about 27s? But that is okay, you can really go faster if you build up some speed and stamina. Try to not breathe for the whole 30m, it is pretty effective, if that is tough, then try breathing every 6 pulls or so. Good luck, and I hope you get better! (:

  3. Well like others have said it would be a good time for a 50m, but not diving will be slower than diving. I am sure that with some coaching and practice you will improve quite a bit. knowing proper kick and stroke technique make a huge difference. wearing real swimwear will take time off too.

  4. Im 15, a competative swimmer, and i will say sorry but there are hundreds and hundreds of kids better than you. I swim 50 meters in in 26 seconds, so for a non-swimmer, you are great, but at a more serious level, you arent that great.

  5. 28 seconds in a 50 would be more where you should try to be. Work on starts and turns to take some time off. To get good you'll need to practice hours at a time and it will be intense.
