28th birthday is coming up and we are throwing a hawaiian luau birthday party?

anyone have any ideas for decorations, outfits and all that stuff. throw them my way. thanks a bunch

Nice!! thats an excellent Idea. If you have the party during the summer and its a hot day out you can rent those blow up water slides. Have a bbq with grilled chicken and kabobs. Have tropical fruit salad. Have everyone wear hawiian shirts and flip flops with sunglasses. Play hawiian BINGO, Drink fuzzy navels, Decorate the yard or house with those cardboard cut out decorations that are pictured as pineapples, and get a box of leis and greet everyone by placing a lei on each guests neck. Saying Allllooooha. If it rains do this inside and just have everything except the waterslide. Do some hula dancing and vote for the best hula dancer. Do the limbo.

Hawaiian shirts and dresses/skirts - buy some cheap lei's and tiki torches. Get a kiddie pool, fill with ice and use it to hold bottles and cans of beverages. Get a bunch of those little umbrellas for the drinks. Some party sites and stores have fake coconut and pineapple glasses to serve drinks out of - those are fun!

I would also have a limbo contest and a volleyball net up, plus some hoola-hoops sitting around for fun!

For food, definitely do the grill - I would set up a skewer bar and have everyone make their own - just do dishes or plates of chunks of different things - chicken, pineapple, cherry tomatoes, onions, peppers...depending on your budget you could add beef and/or seafood.

You can get lays and if you go to a store like Dollar tree you can get awesome invites, cups, plates and some decorations that are inexpensive A $1 to be exact and then if you go to a party store you can buy the blow up palm trees, hula girl balloons and coconut bra's and grass skirts  fun things like that.
