  1. I have very low Iron also which means you are anemic, Foods alone are not enough that's why your Dr is getting you a prescription, But make sure you get a stool softener because Iron makes it very hard to use the bathroom, and i would take your pill with food like toast because it can give you a stomach ache, i know it sounds bad but its not that bad, drink plenty of water, heat makes the headaches and dizziness come alot faster. My dr told me just to eat like a hand full of something an hour but not junk food like raisins, peanuts, toast, crackers, ect but to make sure i had something every hour.

  2. Im 34 weeks pregnant and my appointments are with other expectant mothers as well. Its more like a class than an appointment. I get my blood pressure checked and everything at the classes but enough about that. At my last meeting I was pointed out as having ALOT of iron and to give the other women in my class advice.  I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. Beans are a good source for iron. Im not a big bean fan and would only eat it in a taco maybe. I eat a lot of watermelon, chicken breast, meat, mangos, and milk. I like to cook meat and breast with red and green bell peppers but I add chinese soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. you can get it at any grocery store. It adds a chinese food taste without it being take out. You pour it over white rice and its just like eating at chinese restaurant. You can add any vegetables you like to your normal foods. Drink milk 2% preferably, in your cereal, with cookies, or you can make a rice pudding if you have a sweet tooth. Look up recipes online. I hope this helps.
