  1. by my nickname on this you can tell I am going to be very literal on the answers. Out of all the answers so far, Narkhead is the only one who actually has an answer that is possible.

If a ball hits the helmet in the field it is indeed 5 penalty runs but to the batting side not the batter himself.

the question specifically says that both are unbeaten so the top edge that gets caught and both batsmen cross doesn't quite work into the question.

I look foward to seeing if anyone else comes up with another scenario. Keep up the good work :-)

  2. A bowler got hurt in the middle of his over with 2 balls to spare.

1st batsman on 94 hits a six, over up. next batsman hits a six.

  4. This question has been asked a million times before

Lets say the 2 batsmen are Vaughan and Pietersen

1st Ball- Pietersen gets 5 runs (If the ball hits the bat and then the helmet the batsman is awarded 5 runs)

2nd Ball- Pietersen takes a single and reaches his 100

3rd Ball- Vaughan hits a six and reaches his 100

    100's for both batsmen

  5. first batsman hits the ball.. and the ball goes right behind the keeper and touches the helmet which is kept on the grass/ground.. that fetches him 5 runs plus 1 run which he runs.. next batsman scores a six...

  6. old Q

  7. THERE ARE MANY PROBALITIES, BUT I FEEL THIS ONE IS THE BEST- THE BATSMEN AT THE CREASE HITS A SIX ON THE FIRST BALL. THE SECOND BALL HE GOES FOR ANOTHER BIG HIT BUT IS CAUGHT, HOWEVER, THE BATSMEN CROSS OVER BEFORE BEING CAUGHT. ON THE LAST BALL THE BATSMEN WHO HAS CROSSED OVER HITS A SIX.

  8. Its boring..Don't you have any other question to ask..?

  9. Well very difficult one, but there has to be some solution or a wild guess & so here it is.

Assume that Yuvraj & Dhoni are batting -

Ball 1 - Yuvraj hits a boundary & goes to 98 not out - 3 runs required to win.

Ball 2 - Again Yuvraj hits the ball & both start running. They take 3 runs but unfortunately they run a 'short run' & Yuvraj gets 2 runs instead of 3, which means Dhoni on strike & Yuvraj completing his century. For a short run the batsmen won't change, hence Dhoni will be on strike - 1 run required to win.

    Ball 3 - Dhoni hits a six.

Both Yuvraj & Dhoni complete their unbeaten centuries & the team wins.
