  1. Divide by 2 both sides:

    Sqrt(x) = 2Sqrt(3)

    Change 2Sqrt(3) to Sqrt(12)  - (Sqrt(4) * Sqrt(3)):

    Sqrt(x) = Sqrt(12)

    Square both sides:

    x = 12

  2. 2√x = 4√3   ...divide both sides by 2

    √x = (4/2)√3

    √x = 2√3   ...square both sides

    x = (2√3)²

    x = 2²(√3)²

    x = 4(3)

    x = 12

    Hope this helps you!
