2chan. Amp that does Rms power 500w @ 2 ohms?

Would this be expensive?

Could you give me an amp with these specs and a decent price..i want two of these subs at ther max power but also watch my budget, their rms is 500, running both of them at that is what i want to do.

  1. You're going to want a mono amp, not a 2-channel; unless you look for a 1-ohm stable 2-channel.

    A dual 2-ohm sub can be wired as 4 ohms or 1 ohm.  If you have two of them, they'd typically be combined for a total 2-ohm load.

    Alpine's MRP-M1000 amplifier http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MmJbyRz6k3L... will produce 1000 watts RMS into a 2-ohm load.  So will the PDX1.1000, but it's far more expensive.

    The amp that Maxmays listed above would be fine for a single, dual-4-ohm Type R sub, but not for a pair of dual-2-ohm subs.


  2. well alpine makes a amp that matches these subs there 200 dollars but i think that if your going to match the rms properly you might as well go with the company that specifically make a amp for those subs.
