2m5f-trip to suit Hold Court in Weatherbys Hamilton Insurance Introductory Hurdle at Ludlow
Hold Court, who is enjoying the benefit of experience and step up in trip, is all set to show something special in Weatherbys Hamilton Insurance Introductory Hurdle at Ludlow on Thursday, November 15th.
Evan Williams’ charge has won two bumpers. The 5-year-old went on a long layoff after facing an embarrassing loss at Newbury in February. His defeat came after three classy acts.
Owned by Edwards & Howell, the son of Court Cave made his way back to the field here at the end of last month. The Happy Birthday Matt Taylor Novices' Hurdle saw him living up to the expectations. Under Paul Moloney, the 13-8 favourite held up in the midfield,
but did not lose determination.
He chased the leaders on long run to 3 out. In the final stages, the big fellow pumped up his speed significantly to lead when jumped right. He made a mistake in the final moments, but stayed well in command. Things became very easy for him close home, as
he notched up the first place by six lengths.
After making a wonderful hurdling debut, the Jim Ruane-bred is aiming for more and if he delivers one hundred percent, there is no reason why he should not grab the first place. He is facing six opponents, including Enter Paradise, Midnight Oscar and Heronry.
Enter Paradise is in great form at the moment, but has never raced over shorter than three miles. Midnight Oscar won the Uttoxeter bumper in style, and looks a good prospect for jumping. Heronry was an easy triumphant in the Fontwell bumper in June, and
claimed the third place in the Worcester maiden hurdle. The Nicky Henderson-trained surely has a good role to play.
Out of others, no one is making any significant appeal. Jeano De Toulouse sealed a fine bumper win at Southwell in February, but tailed off on soft surface in April. Push The Trigger did not show a great deal in two points or maiden hurdle. The Wee Lass
has not lived up to the debut bumper win, and we don’t expect her to do any damage here. We wish the best of luck to all the horses.
