I am thinking of having 3 embryos but afraid that my body can't take it for triplets if this IVF is successful.

  1. Well, there is always selective reduction if all three embryoes attach (if that is something you can handle). But I'm sure that your doctor can give you your odds of all three embryoes attaching.

When I did my IVF, we transferred 3 embryoes. Fortunately only 1 embryo attached. My doctor told me that the more embryoes that you place the more likely that one will attach. It has something to do with the hormones that you produce. He told us that if we put it all three that the two weaker embryoes will cause my body to create more hormones (essientially make my body think it is pregnant) and make the strongest embryo stick.

It's a tough decision. Good Luck!!!

  2. Thats something you have to go over with the doctor....ASK ASK ASK anything that you want to know they should have an answer for, and it will make you feel better more than asking a bunch of random people that dont really know!!
