Howdy.

My main question is just where is the 2nd clutch pressure switch? None of the diagrams and exploded views I have found have been very clear on the exact location.

Thanks.

  1. it depends on whether the car is a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder.

the 4 cylinder switch is located on the right side of the transmission.  If you follow the black intake air bellows from the air filter in the right front to the throttle body on the engine and drop a straight line down to the point near where the engine and transaxle are joined you'll be in the right area.  there is a rear stiffner brace that is held on by two nuts that has to be removed to get to the connector for the 2nd gear swtich.

on the 6 cylinder the switch is on the driver's side front of the transmission.  that one is easy to get to as its on the transmission,  right behind where the upper radiator hose goes into the engine.  jsut follow the radiator hose down to the block and you should see the connector for the switch behind it.

    hope that helps
