I already have a bachelor's in health but want to get my nursing degree. Since I already have the prereqs such as bio, anatomy, etc would it be quicker if i do the accelerated BSN or the regular one?the accelerated takes around 2yrs but since i have the prereqs will it work out the same if i applied for a regular program? the reason i am asking is b/c i may move to another state and i havent seen any accelerated programs in that state. I really want to do nursing so i wanted to figure out if it will take the same amount of time. I dont want to stay here just b/c they have an accelerated program and end up being in school just as long.

  1. The accelerated and regular program is pretty much the same thing in your case since you have the pre-req's already and it's hard to transfer into other accelerated programs just in case you change schools, ect. So I say go for the regular program, it's still going to take two years which will be all nursing classes since you took the required.
