2nd interview, waiting game?

Question

Has a second job interview on Friday. They informed me afterwards that they would let me know before the end of business on Friday. However got an email from the manager saying that they wont be able to let me know til Monday. Im feeling that they perhaps have found someone else and that they want to just keep me in the running order until that person accepts / declines the postion.. EG will choose me if the other "guy" doesnt accept.

Your thoughts appreciated.

That's the way it is sometimes with companies..they play a waiting game with you. You might be the number 2 choice but you're in the running, so don't worry about it too much. You just have to keep getting out there and applying for positions and something will happen.
