I took Provera last month to induce my period and it worked just fine, i got it after i stopped the pill and had a very normal cycle. my question is to women who have taken it and got a period like you were supposed to, did the next months cycle come just as easy or did you have to take provera again or were you really late again? thanks!

  1. Provera only helped me for one month. After that, my pd's went back to the same irregular way that they were. I guess it just depends on your body. I just started my provera today. Maybe it will work this time and help me get back to regular. My pd's would be as far apart as 1 month to 6 months. Good luck to you.

  2. it depends on each woman, sometimes you'll need to take provera every time to induce your periods, Clomid could help you regulate your periods on a more permanent basis, so takl to your doc about that, you can learn more about Clomid/Provera and ask doctors online for free, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!

  3. I had to take Provera every month (they gave me 4 rounds) to induce my period. I don't think Provera is meant to make your periods become regular, just induce a period for the one time. But again, every woman is different.

Someone else mentioned that Clomid can help get your periods regular too. Clomid does the same thing, but with inducing your ovulation instead of your period.
