any good web sites you know that could help me out with this. i would like to know my rights, ill be 16 on tuesday and my situation is really difficult at the moment as my parents are going through a pretty bitter and immature divorce. i more or less would like to know when my life becomes mine, when i get to make my decisions when it comes to this stuff and not work around what everyones expects/wants me to do. i understand its not just myself involved but id like to know when i get even just a little bit of say in what i would like to see happen. any help is great. thank you.

  1. Feel for you kiddo but unless i am mistaken, the age of majority in Canada is 18, some things such as custodial decisions in divorces, I believe it is 16. Easiest way to make sure would be to phone Child Protective Services in your area or most lawyers have a free 1/2 hour consultation. Hang in there.
