2nd week of school UGH?

Question

My 7 year old was climbing the stalls and throwing water in the bathroom at school today, the other day this girl gave him a penthouse magazine that he brought home, she ended up getting into trouble for it but it seems that my son is having a hard time listening. I took away 2 weeks of allowance, his tv, dvd player, and outside time and tv time what else should I do :(

This is only the second week of school for Goodness sakes

He is just getting ajusted. Letting out all his energy. sit him sown and tell him it is not okay to ignore athority figures and cause trouble. he'll soon get bored with his ways and stop.

I think taking all those things is a bit excessive. It sounds like he may be having a hard time settling in. I'd have a nice long talk with him and find out how he feels about school, his teacher(s), and the other kids. Also, it may not be a bad idea to have a parent-teacher conference to get her input as well.

Why does a 7 year old need an allowance?

Maybe he's spoiled and thinks he can get away with whatever he wants. Take away some other stuff of his, preferably something of value to him, and tell him sternly that if he doesn't start acting better, you'll take it away until he starts cleaning up his act.
