2wire gateway1800?

i am in virgin media i use a cable wired dhcp hub and i also use a gateway1800 adsl as my wireless i have turned off the dhcp server off on the gateway 1800 so i am getting my ip addresses thro the wired dhcp hub but. i carnt get in to the web interface on the gateway1800 i teryed 172.16.0.1 i also tryed http://gateway.2wire.net. but no look dose any 1 know how to get in to the web inter fance with or with out a ip address if u do take my e-mail [e-mail] and message me plz i hav been stuck for weeks now

I run the 2wire 2701hg-8

Disconnect and remove the "cable wired dhcp hup" or turn off the dhcp. The reason why is that it is not needed and the 2wire takes care of the dhcp.

To get to 2wire admin page type 192.168.1.254 or 172.16.0.254 or 10.0.0.254, and that should get you going.

Why your setup did not working is that the routing table was not set up for having a dhcp behind another dhcp  and the dns did not have forwarding set.
