use 2 have 2 12s but wanted i lil more i have a grand am small trunk my new box 4 3 12s waz a very tight fit so i built the box so the left and right subs were on a angle so the box would fit hits high bass alright lows sound like **** sounded better when i had 2 subs and yes sub are hoked up correct tested at 2.67 ohms kicker amp fosgate dvc 4ohm subs same subs when i had just had 2 ,0 gauge wire 160 amp alt i have pics ????? 3 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel

Connecting the two voice coils of each driver in series (+ to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result in the following impedances:

Dual-6 Ohm Subwoofers: 4 Ohms

Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofers: 2.67 Ohms

Dual-2 Ohm Subwoofers: 1.33 Ohms

Dual-1.5 Ohm Subwoofer: 1 Ohm

  1. sounds like your subs dont have enough room to breath

  2. check your box to see if  theres any openings ,the rule of thumb as at least 1 inch of clearence between the back of the magnet and the back of the box also  adjust your amp maybe its to low if not try an equalizer you can buy a nice one for about 60 bucks

  3. One of the most common issues with 3 subs is that one of the subs could be out of phase, so while 2 subs are pushing, the 3rd is pulling, effectively canceling out most of the base. It is very noticeable during full excursion when the subs are trying to move as much are as possible. On a long deep note look at your subs and make sure they are all traveling in the same direction. If one is not you need to reverse the wiring.

  4. Did you build the box with the right dimensions for air volume for those subs??

  5. the sound needs more space to develop for the lows
