  1. Well....

    3/4 x 1/2 =  3/8 = 9/24

    and 2/3 = 16/24

    then... 16/24 + 9/24 = 25/24

    Therefore, 25/24 is correct


  2. 3/8 + 2/3

    same as:

    9/24 + 16/24

    25/24
