Question:

3/4 size acoustic guitar or full size?

I'm thinking about learning how to play the guitar but I don't know which size guitar should I go for.

I'm 5 ft with tiny hands, will a 3/4 size acoustic guitar be right for me?

There's a 3/4 gibson acoustic guitar in Argos, does anyone know if it's any good?

I know it's better to visit a music store and try out a guitar for myself, but has anyone brought a Gibson maestro and feel that it's a really good guitar?

  1. I'm 5'2 with tiny hands and a full-sized guitar has always worked better for me than my 3/4 size. It's not just about hand size, but about power--although 3/4 worked for me when I was 10 years old, as a stronger adult, it just feels too flimsy.

  2. 3/4 size might be good for you since you have a small hand but people with average size hands will find a full size easier to play since they will have less buzzing from their fingers hitting the adjacent strings.

    try both

  3. Hi Nancy

Here is a good site for a beautiful playing guitar. It is custom made but sells for around $90.It is made slightly smaller and it may look like a toy but believe me, when we ordered some for our shop to test them for a school, we were stunned at the beauty and the finish as well as the sound.
