3 Card Monte?

So I was just at my friends house like yesterday, he did this trick to me and I got it wrong and he took my $5 can some one please teach me how to do it? Thanks!

it's slight of hand. The card he shows you and tells you to follow, lets say it's the ace of spades. When he drops it on the table he is actually dropping the other card on top of it, lets say the Q of hearts. You're following the Q of hearts instead of the A of spades.

What he does is he flips over two cards at once when he wants to show you the card you are going to follow. So when he turns the cards back face down, the card on top is not the card you saw. Instead its the second card you should look for (but he can perhaps do some variation of the 3 card monte so dont bet all your savings on the second card!)
