  1. here is your answer

    (2x+1)(x+4)

    =2x^2 + 8x + x + 4

    =2x^2 + 9x + 4

    (x+2)(2x+5)

    =2x^2+4x+x+10

    =2x^2+9x+10

    (3x+4)(4x+9)

    =12x^2 +27x+16x+36

    =12x^2+43x+36

    hope this satisfies u!!!!!

u have found the right person 2 answer your maths questions cause i'm a math's freak!

(pls don mistake me 4 a nerd!!!!!!)

  2. yes you need to foil, multiply everything in the first brackets by whats in the second brackets..but I'm not going to do it for you, you don't learn that way

  3. Work this like you're doing long division:

                     2x + 1

                       x + 4

                    ------------

                     8x + 4

         2x^2 +    x

         -----------------------

         2x^2  + 9x + 4

First multiply the 4 times 1 and then the 4 times 2X. On the second line multiply x times 1, and then x times 2x. On the bottom, simply add up your like terms.

Sorry, Yahoo Answers is removing my spaces! I had the like terms all nicely lined up.

You should be able to do the rest.
