I'm putting together a project at work and don't know what direction i should put the horizontal page into the binder. Top Touching the 3 rings or the bottom of the page touching the three rings.

Please no opinion, I'm looking for some type of standard.

  1. Top of the page touching the 3 rings.  The clockwise turn is more desirable.

  2. If you're printing one one side of the page only, then the top edge should have the holes.  If you're printing on both sides, then the odd numbered pages should have holes on top.  That is, when the reader puts the book down with the binding edge on top, and lifts the cover, he or she should see the first page only, and it should be at the bottom.  Then, flipping that page up, page two would be on top, and page three on the bottom, and so on.  (It would be so much clearer if I could draw a picture...)
