Option 1.

You make a call to a friend in CA and in TX. Verizon will bill you for 2 long distant calls to your long distant plan.

Option 2.

You make a call to a friend in CA and a friend in TX calls you while you are on the phone. Verizon will bill you for 1 long distant calls to your long distant plan as TX is incoming calls.

Option 2.

You GET a call from a friend in CA and in TX. Verizon will NOT bill you for the 2 long distant calls as TX and CA were incoming calls.

For cell phones, your minutes get deducted no matter what.
