  1. Shaun Tait until he imploded.  Brett Lee while he's still out.

Jeff Thompson was the fastest bowler that I ever saw but he wasn't tested by the methods they use today. He was tested in a West Australian uni with all the gun bowlers of the time and found to be the fastest.  However that was _after_ he had come back from a career threatening shoulder injury.  Prior to that he was unbelievably fast but wild! No doubt the fastest ever!

  2. LOL-Rehman,not many non Australian's would know what Ayres Rock was, very clever of you..

It is one magnificent sight,i have never been to Ularu(Ayres Rock) but it is my wish to do so..

I would say it is Brett Lee-But just watch out for Mitchell Johnson,he is a very talented young bowler,he really reminds me of Brett Lee as  a youngster..

  3. Brett Lee, and Ayres Rock has been re-named Uluru, an aboriginal name, as it belongs to the aboriginals

Edit, As far as I know, Jeff Thomson's speed was never tested as the technology for doing this wasn't there in those days, & any mention of speed was only guesswork. So I am of the opinion that Brett Lee must be regarded as the fastest ever Australian bowler, whether any of you like that or not. There is no way to accurately gauge Thommo's speed. Those people who say Thomson was the faster of the two, are just players from that era who, as old players tend to do, like to think that THEIR DAY, was better then any other.

  4. Brett Lee or Mitchell Johnson but the fastest ever from Australia would be Jeff Thomson.

  5. Brett Lee and Shaun Tait are probably the fastest
