lane 2 on the right, car 2 spun 180 and rest a few hundred feet down. Car 1 continue to skid almost perpendicular to the road and went onto lane 4, spun 180 degrees and went back half way onto lane 3. Car 3 in lane 3 didn't stop on time and Car 3's front struck car 1's driver side bumper on the corner on lane 3. After the impact, car 1 still moved a little bit and ended right in the middle of lane 3. Car 3 almost hit car 1 again on the driver side but did not because car 3 already stopped completely. Front bumper of car 3 was about 5-10 inches from the car 1's driver side door. Who's at fault? Condition is clear and dry, driver 1 cited for improper lane change, driver 3 cited for follow too close. Car 1 was doing 65, car 3 was doing 60-65.

  1. The tickets were right, car 1 caused the accident, losing control on dry pavement takes work, car 3 was following too close, one should always have enough room to react and stop.

  2. It is correct because they were not in control of the vehicle and by law and from what everyone was taught in school, you have to be in control and you must follow at a safe distance.
