  1. Look, I agree Michael Phelps is a phenomenal swimmer and athlete. But he is not a GOD, remember he did get a DUI, he isn't perfect. Most people who love him only do because he is always in the media. He had SO much pressure to win, he knew the whole world was waiting for him to win. That is another thing I do admire about him.

  2. Actually I would say that's eight cheers for Michael Phelps

The other swimmers wanted to win for themselves also if you heard Phelps say after he won his seventh gold in the 100m Fly that Cavic said that he wanted to win because he thought it would be good for swimming which I think Phelps winning 8 is better because it is sort of like an inspiration to others who want to go to the olympics

And for Dara Torres she came in Second by .01 of a second that is just what Cavic came in second by behind Phelps in the 100m Fly but she too is an amazing swimmer and it just goes to show that you can achieve anything at any age  I think it was fair because that is what she came in second place that's why they have touch pads and all those cameras they even said that the cameras can detect almost anything every .001 of a second so everything is fair

  3. It Phelps by the way and I think the others tried as hard as they could to win for themselves and for Phelps. And it was sad that Dara Torres lost by one second but Michael Phelps beat that other guy by one second also, so was that fair?? That's how the games go. The fastest wins no matter by how little of a difference.

  4. 1. the other swimmers on phelp's relays.......they won because they are competitors with goals and dreams of their own. they simply wanted a gold medal. they wanted to represent the u.s. and bring gold to the relays. they acted as a team. a little bit though, i am sure, a little bit was in the back of their heads that they don't want to mess up michael phelp's chance at history!

2.dara torres lost by 1/ 100th of a second in the 50 free. no it wasnt unfair, that is how swimming can work. you can win or lose by the smallest of margins. the electronic touch pads do not lie. and i am sure that dara was quite happy with here feat. it is more than amazing that a 41 year old woman could beat a 16 year old woman and almost beat a 25 year old woman. its beyond understanding!

  5. you spelled both his names wrong. michAEL PHelps.

i assume that by "the other swimmers" you mean his teammates in the relay. i think they just tried their hardest cuz that's what you do in the olympics. maybe his 8th gold medal was motivation to them.

i don't think it's unfair at all. the other person was faster than her and that's that. she still gets a sliver, which is amazing for someone of her age.

  6. Dara Torres might have lost by less than second, but Phelps won by the same amount of time. Anything could have happened. It's not unfair in any way-and if you think it is, then you also must think that Phelps didn't win his medal fairly.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by the first part of your question.
