I have no idea, I can not get a hold of the AC people this weekend, my OLD unit that they kept "rebuilding" did the same thing, so they convinced us to go brand new heat and brand new air, the compressor will come on IF we set it to 60 degrees, but if you move it it up, the compressor will not kick on, it blows warm, and just the fan blows... the one time i did get a hold of them they checked the freon, wiring and everything and said 'it's working perfect".It makes NO sense.. at all.

  1. first of all you don.t have to answer back, you just pick the best answer,

call the a/c people again, next time have them explane to you how the system works, and what the possable cause is when it does this,

or call the company, that made it and complain,

  2. It could be a number of reasons. Wait for the company to check it out.

  3. I would turn the fan to run on Auto, then lower the thermostat to whatever temperature it takes to make the compressor cut on and "cold" air to blow out.  See how that works out, but in the meantime, I'd try to get in touch with the manufacturer and tell them what's going on.  Maybe they have enough pull with the company that installed it to make them figure out what's wrong.  It could be the thermostat.  But probably the main thing for now is to get some cold air blowing.  Just because you have to turn it to 60 doesn't mean it will run until it reaches 60.

  4. Did the company put a drain line switch  on the condensate line, if so use a wet dry vac on the pvc drain pipe outside.
