3 days trip over a weekend from Paris?

I would like to plan a trip with train, based from Paris, departure Friday around 2pm, back in Charles de Gaulle on Monday 6 pm.

I was considering Lyon or Loire, but it's in the wrong side of the city....

I am nor really museum person, rather sceneries, nice atmosphere, buildings, relax in a cafe and good food :) I Prefer to stay in one place/one hotel and do daytrips from there. Also, not too complicated travel with many changes.....

Any suggestions on a nice place to visit? (not euro disney!)

Thanks a lot !

  1. If you are based in Paris and if you've seen already the main things, according to your tastes, I would advice you to go to Lyon. You can go there in 2 hours by train (TGV), and this town is especially well-known for its good restaurants and wines.

Another idea would be to go to Normandy (for example Deauville) to see the riviera, to walk along the sea, to eat sea meals and to play at the casino. It's also 2 hours by train from Paris.

A third idea would be to go to Saint-Malo in the North-West of France, a medieval town and see close to the Mont Saint Michel.
