3 door ford fiesta car seats?

Question

I have a 3 door ford fiesta car mk6 and both front seats are broken, and they won't tilt forward allowing access to the rear seats, could anyone please tell me if there is a fix to this and also if anyone knows the names of the parts/mechanism that makes them go back and forth, ive looked everywhere on the web about this subject with no luck.

so any info would be nice thanx :)

You will need to replace the seat cables which will have snapped. You may also need to replace the tilt handle which can cause premature wear or the cables . It is quite a tricky job to replace the cables but they are not expensive to buy (about (£10.00 per side)

i had this problem on a previous car, i just sprayed some WD40 on the mechanism and this fixed it. hope this helps.

hi,thses are quite easy to fix...just remove the plastic backing from the seat..you should beable tosee the cable...if its broke change it,you can sometimes fix with a cable tie or 2....failing that ring your local brakers,they will have a pair of matching seats for £50 a pair...
