the male hasnt even hurt the female at all!

they have been just swimming very calmly around eachother.

but ever once in a while they will swim fast.

they will even hold still next to eachother for a while.

should i still wait a little longer, or try again another day?

the female will have the vertical stripes on and off now.

  1. www.aquapuppies.com

Register and go to the Betta info tab. They have all kinds of information on breeding and care taking. Best info around!

  2. put the female into the other tank, get some sleep, and let the betta rest, and put the female back in tomorrow. ull have better luck i believe, and you wont be too tired either.

  3. actually, i think you should wait another couple of hours (if you are not too sleepy). Sometimes it can take the whole day, you should have started early.

hows everything going, like what is the set up and did the male build teh bubble nest?

    and did you condition them?

that is really strange,  I wold wait 1more hr and then if they dont do anything, just re-condition and try again another day. I have heard of breeders waiting for up to 2 days!

I helped my friend breed his bettas and it only took them about 5hrs.
