ok so we are looking to get our little man a convertible seat (3 in 1) and although I would love a Britax, 2 things are stopping me a. the cost (WHOA nelly), and b. they are only good up to 65 lbs and we want one up to 80 lbs or more!

we think we will be going with the Alpha Omega but there is one by Costco and one by Safety First. Which one is better?? I have ready that the Eddie Bauers are not good, very bulky and a pain in the butt in general, but we now are so confused we have NO IDEA what to get.

Do anyone have any suggestions for us, and why did you get the seat you reccomend. Also, he will be rear facing for awhile yet so does your little one look comfy in it, and do they flop around a lot when they are asleep in it (he is all body with short little legs...like his daddy)

thanks so much for all the help!!

  1. I havent used the Safety First Alpha Omega but I have the Cosco Alpha Omega and I love it! We got it because it had a good safety rating and we got a good price on it. My son has pretty long legs, he's a tall boy, and he looks very comfy in it. He hated his infant seat but loves his big boy chair! So long as you have the car seat angled enough he will not flop around when he's sleeping. In the rear facing position it does take up alot of space though. I have a fairly small car and was amazed that it fit, but my partner cant put his seat back or recline... good thing its in my car, not his!

  2. I have the Alpha Omega Safety First carseat. at first i hated it because it was so confusing how to strap it in the car. but now since i have to the hang of it,  i love it. my daughter who is 4 months now loves it also. i think cause she can see more then an infant carseat. but i would recommend it because its easy to use and easy to clean (she spit up all over it when she was like 3 weeks old lol). i have a smaller car then yall i have a ford escort zx2 lol so i dont think the size of your car matters lol. but good luck of trying to find one!!

  3. I have the Costco alpha omega and I do like it although we have 2 and the one for my hubbys car doesn't work well in there. It fits funny. The seat in general is very nice and my son seems comfortable in it. You will not know if the seat is a good fit for your car or not until your try to install it. It has a couple of options to install which is nice. (forward facing with or without the base)Hope this helps

  4. I love the evenflo titan or triumph. They are my favorite, I used the titan for my two oldest and plan to use the triumph for my now four month old. My best friend also uses the titan and loves hers.

The price is great and the reviews are fantastic.
